William J. Tyler, Ph.D., is a distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering with a pioneering career in neuroscience and innovative health solutions. Renowned for his groundbreaking work in non-invasive brain stimulation, Dr. Tyler has advanced techniques using ultrasound and transdermal electrical stimulation to enhance cognitive performance, improve sleep, and mitigate stress-related disorders. His research has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the DARPA Young Faculty Award and induction into the National Academy of Inventors. As co-founder of SynSonix, Thync, and IST, LLC, he has driven the development of wearable neurotechnologies, securing multiple U.S. patents. Dr. Tyler’s investigations also explore the therapeutic potential of natural compounds, contributing to novel mental health treatments.
